I previously used a SIM with O2 in the UK - the tracker I ordered doesn't support 3G (only GPRS) - so networks like Three in UK are out of the running. In my old Landy, I put the antenna in the 'window' area on top of the roof lid, which worked a treat and wasn't visible. The TK103 has an external GPS and GSM antenna, which means the main box can be hidden somewhere suitable and the antenna placed somewhere it can get a good signal. ![]() I imagine it is a 'clone', but they do the job just fine. I set to and got hold of a TK103 from Amazon. I decided I would install a tracker in my current car - not for the same reasons, but more a proof of concept for a commercial managed tracking service. At its most basic, it allows you to see the location of the vehicle on a map, plus the speed and direction of travel. I'm not as cool as you guys.Īlso i got this ~]# mysqladmin -h `hostname` -port=3306 version -p Correct me if I'm too far off the reservation here. Is there a checklist I can follow in order to track down the offending problem and snuff it out?Īnd it spit out all the current settings for mysql and i saw that the bind address was just an asterisk (*) I'm thinking that it means that I am not bound to some kinda funky ipv6 address, so localhost and 127.0.0.1 is fair game. I have theories but without any "real" knowledge I may be way off base. Giving up) I'm thinking that I could not create a connection to database server. Could not create connection to database server. Taking a wild guess (also, tracker server log: HikariPool-1 - Exception during pool initialization. I created the database and credentials manually and things looked promising.Īll worked fine till I followed the instructions in documentation "MySQL Database" I did a clean (latest) install on CENTOS 7 and tried setting up mysql 8.0 to handle the extra load and stuff. I absolutely love how traccar works and it's been a hit for keeping track of my "fleet" (2 cars and a bike) ,my kid's gps watches & a couple of my workers phones, (the latest version of the client app has really cool features BTW).īut now I'm trying to beef it up to use for my delivery vehicles and some assets for family and friends. I too am trying to figure this thing out. ![]()
